At the moment it is not possible to sync between devices, and it might never be added to the app either. The reason is that it needs a lot of permissions, like access to your account etc, to create a syncing feature, and I’m trying to keep the app simple and without the requirement of permissions needed.
On the first device, open Personal Bible Trainer and go to the settings page, tap the button to create a backup and select to save the file to Google Drive, iClound etc. Then on the new device, repeat previous steps, but tap the restore button instead. Find the backup file to restore and open it.
Yes, one day back in time is possible to fix if you forgot to tap “Done”. Use the bottom right button to say that you did read yesterday. But it’s not possible to change previous days before yesterday.
A tip is to use the setting to automatically mark a day as done when tapping the link to read.
If you have selected that it should open in JW Library but it still opens in the web browser on your iOS device, then it means that the default settings for iOS has been changed. To restore the default settings, long press on a link like this one https://www.jw.org/finder?pub=nwtsty&bible=01001000&wtlocale=E&srcid=share and select to open with JW Library.
You can view what you’ve been reading the previous days if you swipe down in the middle of the first screen. Then you’ll get a list of historic items with the date when you read them.
If you forgot to tap “done” yesterday so the number of days in a row got back to zero, then you can use the bottom right button to fix that, up to three days back in time.
Unfortunately is it not as easy to automatically get the information of which chapters to read and split it up in the number of days to read. Also since each congregation has their meeting on different days, it makes more difficult. So no plans for that at the moment.
